D&AD Penguin Book Cover Live Brief

Book Cover designs for the 2022 D&AD Penguin random house live brief. These covers were created using a mix of physical and digital materials, and cover three different books genres (adult fiction, adult non-fiction, and children’s fiction). The Murder most unladylike cover was inspired by the school setting within the book, with little hidden details like the magnifying glass and the spilt tea, like the little details you uncover in a murder investigation. The Girl, woman, other cover was inspired by the rich history of the characters, and how they are all interwoven. Diary of a young Naturalist was designed around the hundreds of species spoken about in the book, and the wonders of nature.
